All out-of-season pieces will be featured on our website or on The King Athletic Apparel’s Depop page.
HOW DO I REQUEST A COMMISSIONED PIECE?
The King Athletic Apparel is a small couturier. To ensure quality on all garments The King Athletic Apparel takes a small number of commissions at a time. To be notified when spots are opened, add us on Instagram.
HOW LONG DOES A COMMISSIONED PIECE TAKE?
Each and every piece is designed for the individual therefore, each piece has its own timeline. As an example, most gowns will take AT LEAST 6 weeks including all fittings, however, a collar could be completed in significantly less time. Each timeline will be agreed upon before the start of the commission.
HOW MUCH DO CUSTOM PIECES COST?
Again, each piece is tailored to the individual so prices can vary vastly depending on preferences and style. Please use this list as a GENERAL GUIDELINE for how much pieces GENERALLY cost.
- Custom Measurement Bodysuit – $100 – $200
- Knee Length Dress – $200 – $300
- Knee Length Coat – $300 – $500
- Floor Length Coat – $400 – $600
- Floor Length Gown – $600+
MY CUSTOM PIECE NEEDS REPAIRED! WHAT DO I DO?
Regular wear and tear in garments, ESPECIALLY those made to perform, is expected such as wearing on the knees or other high-friction areas, zippers eventually needing to be replaced, rips due to snags or glue components eventually coming loose. These are just a few examples of how our clothes can show they’ve been well-loved. The King Athletic Apparel specializes in couture pieces for costume artists, therefore many of our pieces are being loved a little more than the average clothing. Due to this, The King Athletic Apparel will offer free repairs of any custom garments prior to them being worn with the buyer paying for shipping. This protects the buyer from any faulty mechanics of the garment, such as clasps breaking, embellishments breaking due to travel, etc. The King Athletic Apparel is NOT RESPONSIBLE for any refunds, replacements or FREE repairs of garments after they have been worn. For any repairs needed after the garment has been worn, we will offer repairs on a case-by-case basis for a small fee. Any repairs done to garments that are NOT done by The King Athletic Apparel voids all warranty.
